This October, the TEA Cares Foundation had the privilege of supporting a remarkable event that celebrated creativity, resilience, and neurodiverse talent—the “Diverse Voices” art exhibition, held at the iconic Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad. Organized by The Art Sanctuary, an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of neurodiverse children through art therapy, the exhibition showcased nearly 100 stunning works of art, each one a testament to the unique voices and perspectives of these young artists.
A Grand Opening to Honor Talent and Individuality
The event was inaugurated by esteemed guests, including the Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Padma Shri Mohd. Ali Baig, and Smt. Durga Jasraj, who honored the neurodiverse artists for their creativity and courage in expressing their inner worlds. Shri Ashish Goyal, Director of the Salar Jung Museum, also attended, reinforcing the museum’s commitment to inclusivity and cultural diversity.
TEA Cares Foundation’s Role
The TEA Cares Foundation supported “Diverse Voices” by organizing volunteers to assist with the exhibition. Our members volunteered as chaperones, helping visitors understand the significance of each artwork and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. We were also pleased to collaborate with SAFA, enabling some of their students to join as volunteers, gaining hands-on experience in event management and exposure to the impact of art on mental wellness.
An Inspiring Display of Neurodiverse Artistry
Walking through the exhibition, visitors were struck by the creativity, insight, and skill evident in each piece. The artworks challenged conventional perceptions of neurodiversity and reminded everyone present of the boundless potential that emerges when individuals are given space to express themselves freely.
This event was not just an exhibition; it was a movement to recognize and respect neurodiverse voices. We extend our deepest gratitude to The Art Sanctuary for organizing this event and to all the volunteers and artists who made “Diverse Voices” a memorable experience for the Hyderabad community.
At TEA Cares, we’re inspired to continue supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, creativity, and compassion. Here’s to more opportunities to celebrate neurodiverse talent and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
