This year, from May 3rd till May 10th, The TEA Cares foundation endorsed The India Literary Project’s annual summer camp, which was held in several government schools in Hyderabad. The camps included sponsorships from various other organisations and benefited over 150 children. ILP organised sessions in numerous schools across the city, including Parvatnagar Government School, Borabanda, in collaboration with TCF and Pustakaar.
Over the period of one week, students participated in activities ranging from storytelling to dance, and from yoga to arts and crafts. Apart from daily storytelling lessons, students were encouraged to communicate and collaborate with each other in different forms. The day started off with physical exercise, such as yoga or outdoor games, followed by English writing, speaking, and listening activities, and ended with crafts, music and dance.
With an increasing number of students each day of the week, the camp made learning engaging and enjoyable for children ranging from the ages of 4-13, and was a memorable experience for everyone involved. TCF looks forward to conducting other such events in the future as well.
